Retrospective Building Solutions is a Building Surveying and Building Inspection consultancy based entity that provides solutions to clients requiring assistance in the resolution of problems affected by the Building Act, The Building Regulations, the National Construction Code and associated Australian Standards. Whilst providing services in the issuing of Building Permits and Mandatory Inspections associated with those Building Permits, Retrospective Building Solutions core business deals with the resolution of enforcement action instigated by Local Government Building Departments responding to building work that has been performed where a Building Permit has not first been obtained or illegal building work. Retrospective Building Solutions enjoys affiliations with many Private Building Surveyors and Municipal Building Surveyors alike, who tend to refer matters of non-compliance directly to our consultancy for resolution and for the assistance of clients who have contravened the requirements of the relevant Act, Regulations, Codes and Australian Standards. The principal of the consultancy, John Keramidas, has held positions as a senior Building Surveyor/Municipal Building Surveyor at various inner city Building Departments and has the necessary skills to assist clients in resolving their non-compliance issues.
